I’m Steve Crimson, holistic health advocate and the Chief Editor here at SaltHeal.com. I learned about the benefits of salt, essential oils, and mindfulness meditation after having a panic attack that landed me in the emergency room.
Work was particularly challenging that day, though I didn’t really give it much thought because I knew I didn’t have any choice but to buckle down and get it done. My frustration mounted, but I kept it hidden knowing that it wouldn’t do my reputation any favors if I let my angst show. My body felt tense when I stretched across my desk to grab my coffee cup. Suddenly, a sharp pain shot up my arm and I dropped the cup.
The pain spread throughout my chest and I had trouble breathing. A co-worker heard the commotion and came in to see what was happening. She took one look at me and insisted I let her drive me to the hospital. Needless to say, I gave in without much of a fight. The doctor listened to me as I described my pain and with some concern told me we needed to run a series of tests to make sure we weren’t dealing with a heart attack. Hearing this, my blood pressure skyrocketed and the pain got worse, so they decided to give me something to calm me down, a benzodiazepine used to treat anxiety disorders.
I understood, even before the results of the CAT scan came back that I had experienced a full-blown anxiety attack. It was at that moment that I decided to pay attention to how stress was affecting me. I didn’t want to take medications, though I am certain that it is important for some people who have clinical anxiety to be under a physician’s care. For me, I knew the source of my pain was my lifestyle. So I decided to make some changes.
Discovering the healing power of salt, essential oils, and mindfulness meditation changed my life and I wanted to share this knowledge with others. So I gathered a team of like-minded advocates to build a space where we could share what we’ve discovered along the way.
My team and I are passionate about using natural remedies for self-care. Our mission is to help those who are seeking alternative ways to ease stress, quiet their mind, and make positive choices for escaping the madness of everyday living.
